Christine Coulter, FNP
Christine Coulter was naturally drawn to the nursing profession out of her desire to help others who were suffering. In opening a small private practice, her goal is to provide a comfortable environment to form a more intimate patient-provider relationship. She hopes that in this private setting, all patients will feel able to speak up and make mutual decisions with their provider. She received her Master of Science in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at Purdue University. Prior to Purdue, she received her undergraduate degree from Indiana University School of Nursing.
With the core care principles of dignity and compassion, she strives to serve the community of South Bend. To Christine, serving the community means giving equal care and respect to every patient regardless of race, age, religion, or economic status. Additionally, her work is all about helping both individuals and families to improve their health and develop trusting relationships with their providers.
Christine is a board-certified family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Her drive comes from improving the overall quality of life of her patients while treating them with respect and dignity. For 11 years, her area of special interest has been in patients with chronic diseases. She focuses on improving not only physical but also mental symptoms of chronic illness. Outside of her medical work, she enjoys fitness training, social gatherings with friends, traveling, and camping.
